We ask that all patients arrive in the morning the day before surgery.
We have caretaker information on request. We expect every surgical patient to have someone with them the night of surgery (whether friend or caretaker). Feel free to ask the office for more details.
We ask that patients stay a minimum of six days after surgery before flying home. This allows Dr. Okland to examine you and ensure there is nothing occult or obviously dangerous before boarding a plane.
Should you choose to drive, you can drive home the day after surgery (provided someone else is driving), with the caveat that you will either need sutures and/or cast removed at home, or you will need to return in one week for this with Dr. Okland.
